Maître de conférences en littérature et civilisation françaises à Columbia University

The Department of French at Columbia University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in French literature and culture. The field is open but the Department has particular needs in Renaissance (16th century), Modern (19th to 21st century), and Film. Candidates whose formal training is not in French (e.g. history or anthropology or art history) are welcome to apply. Native-like fluency in French required. Ph.D. must be awarded by the appointment start date (July 1, 2017). Beyond teaching in the field of specialization, the successful candidate will teach two courses a year in Columbia's Core Curriculum.

The review of applications will begin November 1, 2016 and continue until the position is filled.
