Lectureship in French Studies (Birmingham)

Publié le par René Audet

We have a vacancy for a lectureship in French Studies. This is a re-advertisement - slightly re-specified - for the post for which we initially advertised in June. The advertisement - as follows - also appears in today's Education Guardian and will also appear in Friday's THES.

Lectureship in French Studies
Salary Range £18,731 to £30,967

We wish to appoint an outstanding academic to teach and research in the areas of contemporary France and European Studies. Applications from candidates specialising in the French economic and business environment and/or French politics and culture would be of particular interest.
You must be able to provide teaching (in French) in the French Studies programmes. Knowledge of the European dimension to the candidate's specialised field(s) and the ability to contribute to the School's European Studies and Politics degrees would be an advantage.
Appointments are normally for 5 years in the first instance, but candidates with a particularly strong record may be considered for a continuing appointment.
Application forms and further details are available by telephoning (0)121 359 0870, or by email: b.a.power@aston.ac. quoting the reference number A00/171/.
Closing date for the receipt of applications: 1 December 2000
