Lecturer in French Language Instruction

Emory University’s Department of French and Italian announces a faculty position in French language instruction beginning September 2014. Course load 3/2; Ph.D. in French (in hand) is required. The appointment will be at the level of Lecturer with a track for promotion through to Professor of Pedagogy; for details about this established faculty track at Emory please see:http://college.emory.edu/home/administration/policy/lecturer.html. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to teach French language and culture courses at the college or university level and a demonstrated capacity for substantive contribution to a language program. We are looking for candidates with experience and interest in curriculum design, development of new instructional materials, supervision of multi-section courses, advising responsibilities, and language pedagogy.
