The Department of French at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a University Lecturer in Nineteenth-Century French Studies, specializing in the literature of the period. Preference may be given to candidates who can also demonstrate an interest in the visual culture and/or cultural history of the period. Appointments made at University Lecturer level are to the retiring age, subject to a standard probationary period of five years.
Candidates shortlisted for a campus visit will give a short 20-minute presentation prior to an interview with the Appointments Committee.
