Hours:Full Time

Salary (inclusive of London allowance):35,557 - 38,594 per annum

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department of French, part of UCL's School of European Languages, Culture and Society is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in French Renaissance Studies. The successful candidate will contribute to both undergraduate and post graduate teaching within the Department and in most years will offer an interdisciplinary course open to students of all School departments. The postholder will supervise research degree dissertations, apply regularly for research funding and will generally be expected to contribute to enhancing the research profile of the Department and School.

 

Key Requirements:

The successful candidate will have scholarly expertise in French renaissance studies, and ideally another area of French Studies or in an area of interdisciplinary, cross-departmental, studies (e.g gender studies, romance philology, comparative literature). A relevant PhD is essential, as is near-native competency in French, appropriate teaching experience and proven research skills in French Renaissance studies.
