ASSISTANT PROFESSOR


The Department of French Literature, Thought and Culture at New York University invites applications for a position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track), beginning September 1, 2020, pending administrative and budgetary approval.

The department seeks a new colleague whose work focuses on medieval French (and potentially Occitan) literature, thought, and culture. An established record of scholarly research as well as a record of excellence in teaching are required. Ph.D. in hand by August 31, 2020 and native or near-native fluency in French and English are required. Preferred criteria include experience working with, teaching, and/or mentoring diverse groups of students.
