Abstract: The particular phenomenon of assuming western literary patterns, especially the French ones, turns to be very important for the Romanian novel in its beginnings. Within the Romanian literary milieu, the mélange of poetics and narrative techniques has made the novel of letters, the melodramatic – sentimentalist patterns, the feuilleton novel and the Realist narrative perspective coexist. From the point of view of novel and character construction, the Romanian models are Bolintineanu's Manoil and Elena which get together the monographic level, the moralizing thesis, the feminine ideal complexity and, even if sporadically, the meta-textual links.
Key-words: literary pattern, novel, character, moralizing thesis, meta-textual strategies

Abstract: The various demonstrations that one commonly calls arts often elaborates political subjects in ironic or critical form. The writer becomes himself / herself an "unhappy conscience", to refer Barthes for whom any politician who launches out in the writing wants to become the witness of the History, and thus the writing has a social destination, because it is the "form seized in its human intention and dependent on the great crises of the history ". During the junta in Greece (1967-1973), most of the Greek intellectuals found refuge in Paris, exiled or self-exiled. Far from the topographic and even linguistic margins of the native place, the Greek French-speaking intellectuals contributed to a kind of resistance against the dictatorship of the colonels, each one on his / her own way. We will try to set up the different forms of the critical speech elaborated by three Greek French-speaking authors, produced in full situation of exile, during the Greek junta: the novel The Mystery, of Margarita Libéraki, the Black Bible of the Dictatorship in Greece, under the direction of Aris Fakinos, Clement Lépidis and Richard Soméritis and the caricatures against the junta of Vassilis Alexakis.

Abstract : A mytho-critical approach on the novels published during the last decades of the Romanian Communist age, not necessarily the ones overtly subdued to the so-called political pattern or the texts belonging to a certain generation, is meant to bring forward some redundant dual figures within the narrative “obsessive metaphors” domain. They signal to a specific complex experienced by the artist who makes up a virtual inner mythology, thus they elude the obsessive baroque game of illusion / reality, often having overt political message. Comparing novels belonging to writers from various generations, differently converging to the same ideological praxis, at least at the explicit narrative discourse, means pointing out a significant fact. That, beyond the characteristics of each creative personality (individual unconsciousness, clear-cut aesthetical options, influence of patterns etc.), there is only one mythical scenario whose main character, always mirroring his ego, transcends the steps of the phantasmagoric saga of the artist himself “facing Power.”

Abstract: The political novel which has functioned as an escaping way for the writer who witnessed the ideologically revival of the 71's thesis, reaches its climax during the 80s and 90s, therefore it plays the role of a compensatory treatment for the lecturers. The novel of the 60's focuses on the destruction of the mythical and utopian structures: it builds up a recuperating discourse about the covert historical truths within fiction in which the subversive message gets allegorical and symbolical clothes. The great symbolical constructions, the basis for the human allegory often politically distorted and the totalitarian dystopias also, are made up due to a mytho-phoric process: the deconstruction of the “holly history” is the result of the occurring “heretical” displacements within the semantic pattern of the primordial myths, to be taken up by the official political imaginary level later on.

Ana-Maria Gîrleanu-Guichard
Docteur és Lettres, Université Paris IV, France
Abstract: Owing to a common inquiry into the limits of language, philosophy and poetic creation cross paths in the XXth century. The aim of this article is to pinpoint some of these intersection points. The Tractatus logico-philosophicus sheds new light on this particular line of thought of neoplatonic origin. Through the concept of “logical form”, Wittgenstein demonstrates the impossibility of an ‘exact' philosophical language, and the pre-eminence of silence and of an incantatory, poetic language. In France, the debate on “pure poetry” tackles the same issues, as far as the expression of transcendence is concerned, and results in the acknowledgment of the indissociable link between poetry and mysticism. Paul Celan's poetry, the epitome of negative language, takes on the challenge of voicing the unsayable of horror in the post-war context. At the crossroads between poetry, art and philosophy, the journal L'Ephémère elaborates a new poetics meant to push the bounds of the thinkable and the expressible in art, and, in particular, in poetry.

Abstract. This paper is dedicated to the intercultural dialogue through the framework of Romantic poems of Eminescu. The author analyzes how the poetic imagination and romantic feelings can be rendered from Romanian into another language and culture. The nanotraductological analysis can help the lectors in different languages to understand better the auctorial Romantic intents. The original approach by defining music, smell, touch and color of poem in three languages – Romanian, French and Russian leads to new perspective of transcendence of poetic imagination.

Re-reading Eminescu's Work through the Broken Mirror
Lect.dr. Nicoleta Ifrim

Abstract: Within the reading strategies, both real and imaginary references are brought toghether by a transgressive mechanism which imitates and points to the aesthetic degradation of the mimesis canon, as well as to the newly occured meta-narrative one, virtually accepted by a covert lecturing negociation. The textual coherence emerging from the syntactic-pragmatic techniques inserted within its own creative project is sustained by code and textual signs recognition, activating the role of the reader in decoding reccurent and redundant elements. Caught in this sense producing-decoding process, the reader is made to turn into a complice through his implication in the fictionalisation process by means of meta-narrarive short notes or extended „mises en abyme”.

Abstract: In building up the canonic historical novel, starting from Walter Scott's model up to the New Novel, the historical reality – narrative fiction connection turns to be the first basis for theoretical debates. By confronting the historical description requirements with the ones imposed by the narrative patterns, facts, characters, ways of narration, there emerged two comparison lines: the first with the Realist novels, the second with the XIX th “popular” novels with which the historical novels shared the same genesis period, so as to grasp the novel specificity in the XX th century, within the larger context of literary paradigm change.

Abstract: After he was condemned to a one-year jail sentence for publishing « J'accuse » - an open letter to the President related with the Dreyfus case - in L'Aurore, Émile Zola flew away to England where he remained, hiding himself from French justice and police, from July 1998 to June 1899. By doing this he made himself altogether a fugitive, an exile and a foreigner. This kind of situation is known to give rise to numerous written productions: novels, narratives, memories. We shall study how Zola lived his period of exile and in what measure it influenced his life and his literary production.

Abstract: The present article juxtaposes a series of techniques of questioning the Self in the essayistic work of the 20th century philosophical writers Paul Valéry and Marguerite Yourcenar. This symmetrical approach is intended to highlight in these two distinct patterns – that convey the method of the “intellectual eye” and the method of the “open-eyes” – the insightful aspects of the deep human nature analysis. The study establishes that Valéry's and Yourcenar's quest of the Self converges into a poetics of the mental eye. In this respect, the article emphasizes dual, double and two-folded techniques of revealing the Mind and all of the profound human being.

Onorica-Liliana Tofan,
Collège National „Costache Negri” de Galaţi
Abstract: Making use of intertextual procedures, Mircea Nedelciu succeeds in creating a dialogue with the popular ballad, giving it back the rhythm of the verse and the flavour of the epic discourse, thus producing a new resurrection of the ballad through a new method: cancelling the lyric features. He brings on the ridiculous scene of the contemporary world of sweethearts of the popular ballad, the ladies from the courtier novels and also Nora from the dolls' house, Ancuta from the inn situated at the crossroads of the great ways of history, Ana from the walls of monastry. Nora and Jenny build again lost love stories, Ion opens again Oedip complex story and Miorita warns once again, but in vain, that the world of theft and murder is not compatible with the reintegration in the universal.
Through parody, skit, "textual engineering", palinode, "skaz" type discourse, plagiarism and dialogue with the past, the writer brings the ballad out of the literature drawers and places it on the road of a reality- different from the one that produced it.

The Problem of Meaning with Instant Messages Lect. dr. Gina Necula

Some Features of Early Modern English as Used by Shakespeare
Dr. Valentina Stog,
