The Department of French and Francophone Studies at The Pennsylvania State University seeks a specialist at the assistant professor level in one or more contemporary literatures of the francophone world— Africa (any regions), the Caribbean, the Middle East, North America, the Pacific, and Southeast Asia—for our instructional mission to vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs offering specializations in literature and civilization. We are especially (but not exclusively) interested in literary and theoretical issues related to identity, transnationalism, and performance media.
