Doing Literary Criticism On-Line

Call for participants for a roundtable panel proposed for MMLA 2001 (Nov. 1-3, Cleveland).

The format of this panel will be non-traditional. Participants will be asked to submit the URL of an article or website where they do literary criticism on-line. These URLs will be printed in the conference program and those in attendance will be encouraged to visit the sites before the conference. The roundtable discussion will be on the experience of on-line criticism. How does it differ from print criticism? What are the advantages/disadvantages? What are the theoretical implications of the medium? Participants will make a brief opening statement and then we'll let discussion go from there.
Please submit URL and a brief (1 pg) abstract of related issues for discussion. Prior to the conference, I plan to set up an on-line discussion group of all participants, hopefully to begin the conversation prior to Cleveland.
