Le Département des langues et linguistique de l’Université de la Saskatchewan sollicite des candidatures pour un poste en français, menant à la permanence, au niveau de professeur/e adjoint/e. La date d’entrée en fonction est le 1er juillet 2007. Le/la candidat/e doit détenir un doctorat en Études françaises, une excellente maîtrise du français et une bonne maîtrise de l’anglais. Il/Elle doit posséder de solides qualités en matière de relations humaines, un plan prometteur de recherche, et avoir fait preuve d’excellence dans l’enseignement.
Tout/e candidat/e faisant preuve d’excellence dans n’importe quel domaine d’Études françaises retiendra notre intérêt, mais plus particulièrement ceux/celles avec une expertise en traduction, en théorie littéraire contemporaine ou en études culturelles. Les responsabilités du poste comprennent l’enseignement de cours de langue au niveau du premier cycle et de cours dans le domaine de spécialisation, au niveau du premier et du deuxième cycles, ainsi que la participation au développement des programmes.

The Department of Languages and Linguistics of the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in French, effective July 1, 2007. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in an area of French studies and will have native or near-native fluency in French and good working knowledge of English. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills, a promising research program, as well as demonstrated excellence in teaching.
The department will consider applications from top-quality candidates with interests in all areas of French studies, particularly those who can offer expertise in translation, contemporary literary theory, or cultural studies. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate French language courses, specialized senior undergraduate and graduate courses, and will participate actively in program development.
The University of Saskatchewan is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, a city with a diverse and thriving economic base and a full range of leisure opportunities.
