One-year term appointment as Assistant Professor, University of Winnipeg

Department of Modern Languages and Literatures: French Canadian Literature 

 

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Winnipeg invites applications for a one-year term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of French Studies in the field of modern and contemporary French Canadian Literature. A second research / teaching field (e.g. 19th-century French literature, other Francophone literatures, and theatre) would be an asset. Duties include teaching undergraduate courses in the specialized areas of the candidate, as well as some language courses. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience, a Ph. D. completed or near completion, and a publication record in this area. The successful candidate should have native or near-native proficiency in French. The appointment will commence August 1, 2013 and is subject to final budgetary approval. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
