Panel topic: "Performing Women: Authors, Actors and Artists"

The panel welcomes papers on women's 'performance' in 18th-century society in their roles as authors, actors or artists (or, by extension, critics, salonieres, political figures, etc.). Of particular interest are papers exploring the ways women presented themselves in public or constructed their public personae.
