Publié le par Marielle Macé (Source : Anne Cirella-Urrutia)

Call for submission of articles for a collection of essays on the works by Francophone childrens authors that present various images and cultures of Francophone countries of Africa in picture books.

The volume (in English) will serve to introduce new readers or teachers to picture books (originally written in French by such authors) that present cultural facets of these French-speaking African countries. By discussing the broad range of works available, the volume will aim at presenting current issues (theoretical and aesthetic) about writings by Francophone childrens authors from the African continent. The volume seeks to nclude a bibliography of these picture books to date (and of English translations when available) and an annotated list of selected criticism.

Please send abstracts (220-250 words) for essays (written in French or English), as well as a short cv including current position and institutional affiliation, education,
list of publications (or work accepted for publication to the editor (by US mail or by e-mail):
