The Association for the Study of Modern and Contemporary France Annual Conference

8-9 September 2022

Call for Flash Presentations on Postgraduate projects (Master’s and PhDs)

To showcase postgraduate projects at Master’s and PhD level, we are pleased to invite expressions of interest from postgraduate students to showcase their doctoral research for the Association for the Study of Modern and Contemporary France’s Annual Conference.

Due to the ongoing challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Annual conference will take place online. Postgraduate students are invited to present their research in three minutes, limited to one Powerpoint slide OR one creative method of their choice. Participants may choose to present their research in either French or English.

Our aim is to provide a structured yet comfortable forum for scholarly exchange, while promoting the visibility of the research being conducted within our postgraduate community. We will also host a short Q & A session in which delegates have the opportunity to meet the PGR presenters to ask questions.

To express interest, please send a short email that outlines the general topic or argument of your proposed research along with details of your institutional affiliation by 26 August 2022 to Pallavi Joshi (Postgraduate Representative) at the following address: asmcfpostgradrep@gmail.com (subject line: ‘ASMCF flash presentation’).

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to be in touch at asmcfpostgradrep@gmail.com
