
The School of Modern Languages at the University of Leicester is pleased to offer two fee-waiver studentship for October 2014 entry to its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme. The studentships are available for full-time registration and are payable as a full tuition fee waiver for three years. The studentship is available only to applicants who are eligible to pay the UK/EU tuition fee - i.e., those who are permanently resident in the UK or another EU country.

The School of Modern Languages is inviting applications from students in the following disciplines/languages:

- Spanish and Latin American Studies
- Translation and Interpreting Studies
- International Communications
Applicants with interests the following fields are particularly welcome: literature, visual culture (including film, documentary, comic art), gender, cultural geographies and identities, post-colonialism, cultural politics and memory, theatre, historical studies, translation, interpreting, international communication.

Entry Requirements
A good first degree (First or 2:1) and normally a Masters degree in a relevant area.
