Tenure-Track Position in Italian at Colby College

The Department of French and Italian seeks to fill the Paganucci Professorship in Italian studies at the level of Assistant/Advanced Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2013. Applicants must have a Ph.D., native or near-native fluency in Italian, and a strong research record. Primary field expected in language and literature with expertise in Italian cultural studies desirable. Successful candidates will have teaching experience that prepares for  teaching five courses per year at all undergraduate levels, in both Italian and English. We are seeking someone with organizational talent and leadership qualities who will assume significant responsibility for curriculum planning and student advising, and will become involved in the college community at-large.
