The Department of French at Yale University intends to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor beginning July 1, 2010. This appointment will be in the area of seventeenth-century early modern literature and culture. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity for original scholarship and a strong commitment to energetic and innovative teaching; the Ph.D. and native or near-native command of French are required.
