The correspondence between the novelist Rachilde (Marguerite Eymery) and Maurice Barrès has appeared.


The volume, IN FRENCH, is entitled *Rachilde Maurice Barrès. Correspondance inédite 1885 1914*. It contains 58 letters from Rachilde and 45 from Barrès, following their relationship from its intimate beginnings to the friendship of their later years.  The edition, prepared by Dr. Michael R. Finn, contains an introduction, chronology, ample annotation and four appendices (some hard to access nowadays) that relate directly to the two writers and their friendship:  the autobiographical preface of Rachildes novel *A mort*, Barrès article Mademoiselle Baudelaire, his famous preface to her novel *Monsieur Venus*, and a short story never before attributed to Rachilde which she sent to Barrès in 1885.
