Contemporary Poetry and/not Narrative

Publié le par René Audet (Source : Liste Narrative)

This is a follow-up to a query I circulated in August, when many of you may have been spending your time in more interesting ways than keeping up with e-mail.

I'm interested in putting together a session for the 2002 Narrative Conference.

Tentative title: "Contemporary Poetry and/not Narrative."

Possibilities: using contemporary poetry to refine narratological concepts, stated opposition of some poets to narrative, narrative in/not in longer poems.

Please send me a proposal (at least 500 words) or, even better, proposal plus a completed paper, by October 1; I'll invite panelists to be involved in editing the package that gets submitted to the conference committee. Electronic submission is strongly preferred.

Thanks.
