Connecticut College, Department of French: Lecturer (full-time). Beginning Fall 2010, initial 2-year appointment, renewable.
The Department of French invites applications for a full time lecturer position in French language and literature. Specialization open, with a preference for 18th c or 19th c. The teaching load of 6 courses per year includes language courses at all levels, as well as intermediate and advanced literature courses. Native or near-native fluency in French. Minimum qualification is an M.A., but a Ph.D. is preferred.

Lecturers are voting members of the faculty and vital contributors to their departments. Their teaching load is 3/3. Lecturer appointments begin with a two-year period; upon successful reviews, the next two appointments are for three and five years, followed by subsequent five-year periods. Lecturers are eligible to apply for College funding to support study, research and travel.
