Women's autobiography

The Society for French Studies holds its AGM this year on Saturday 7 April at King's College London. It will be followed by a Public Lecture by Professor Béatrice Didier on twentieth-century women's autobiography, and by a Table ronde on women's autobiography. The full programme is as follows:

2pm: Society for French Studies AGM

3.00-3.30: Tea / coffee (in the Council Room). All welcome.

3.30pm: Professor Béatrice Didier (ENS): 'Autobiographies de femmes en France au vingtième siècle'

c.4.30pm: Table ronde on women's autobiography with:
- Professor Jennifer Birkett (Birmingham)
- Dr Ana de Medeiros (Kent)
- Professor Olwen Hufton (Oxford)
- Chaired by Professor Michael Sheringham (Royal Holloway)

The AGM, Lecture, and Table ronde all take place at the same venue: Lecture Room 2C, Main Building, King's College London. All are invited to the Lecture and Table ronde (and to the preceding tea-break!).

King's College is situated on the Strand, in Central London.
