The next annual Burn Conference will be held on the weekend of 24-26 October 2003. Papers of approximately 20 minutes in any area of French Studies are invited. As in previous years, newly appointed colleagues and post-graduate students are particularly encouraged to offer papers, but we are also counting on contributions from more senior and long-standing colleagues to make the Burn a stimulating forum for new ideas. The conference takes place in a large country house near Edzell (Tayside). The atmosphere is informal and congenial and the Saturday afternoon is free for walks and talks.
