Ancient Narrative

Publié le par René Audet (Source : Liste Narrative)

A new issue of Ancient Narrative has been published.

INTRODUCTION

For those who are unfamiliar with this journal: Ancient Narrative (AN) is a
new journal - the zero issue was published in 2000 - devoted to the study of
ancient narrative in its broadest sense. As the title indicates, the areas
of interest to be covered are: Greek, Roman, Jewish novelistic traditions,
including novels proper, the "fringe", as well as the fragments; early
Christian narrative, narrative texts of the Byzantine Age - and the
reception of all these texts in modern literature, film and music. Issues of
AN appear on the Internet three times a year; the address is
www.ancientnarrative.com. AN is also available in print; you will
find more information about the printed edition on our website and below.
Most of AN, including the abstracts of the articles and the reviews, is free
for all. In order to read the full text of the articles, however, you will
need a subscription.

CALL FOR PAPERS

There is still room for new contributions in the issues of 2003.

Ancient Narrative is also planning a new special volume to be
published in 2003 entitled "Bakhtin, the Russian Formalists and Ancient
Narrative".

Your submission will be read by two members of the editorial board, and,
when judged positively, they will soon be published in one of the
forthcoming issues on the website. Articles which have been published in one
of the electronic issues of AN will always appear in the nearest in time
annual printed volumes. Authors will receive their electronic versions in
return before the printed publication, and have the opportunity to revise,
profiting from possible reactions to their electronic publications. Find
everything on sending in submissions on the website of Ancient Narrative on
http://www.ancientnarrative.com.
