Colloque international

Aharon Appelfeld aura quatre-vingt ans en 2012. Né en Bucovine en 1932, il a subi laShoah durant son enfance et est devenu aujourd'hui l'un des écrivainsisraéliens les plus célèbres. Son écriture qui touche l'au-delà immortalisel'histoire juive contemporaine dans un style unique en son genre. Pour luirendre hommage, l'INALCO (le CERMOM) et le Mémorial de la Shoah (Le CDJC) avecle concours de Schrieber Chair for Jewish Culture (TAU, Israël) et l'universitéBen Gurion organisent à Paris en mars 2012 (du 25 au 27) un colloque international consacré à son oeuvre.

Nous vous proposons lesthématiques suivantes:

  • Le personnage et son parcours : entre errance et reconstruction d'identité
  • La poétique de l'espace comme vecteur de la narration : géographie réelle et imaginaire, lieux, la forêt, la gare, le café etc.
  • Le mécanisme de la mémoire  : entre sommeil et réveil, rêves et cauchemars, le langage corporel et le choix linguistique etc.
  • L'autobiographie, la narration de soi et la narration de l'autre.
  • Intertextualité, interculturalité et le processus de la lecture.

Les communications, de 25minutes, seront en anglais ou en français. Un descriptif d'une dizaine delignes est à envoyer avant le 15 septembre 2011.

Aharon Appelfeld will be eighty years old on2012. The Jewish boy, born in Bucovina in 1932 has endured the horrors of theHolocaust and has become one of the most famous Israeli authors. With itsmetaphysical touch, his work immortalizes thecontemporary Jewish history in a very particular style.

INALCO (the CERMOM) and the Mémorial de laShoah (the CDJC), with the Schrieber Chair for Jewish Culture (TAU, Israel),organize an international conference in his honour on March 2012 (the 25,26 and27).

Subjectsof discussion:

  • The Appelfeldian Protagonist: between wanderring and reconstruction of identity.
  • The Poetics of Space: real and fictitious geography, places such as the forest, the rail road, the coffee house etc.
  • The Mecanism of Memory: sleeping and waking up, dreams and nightmares, body language and linguistic choice etc.
  • Autobiography, Self-narration and the Narration of the Other.
  • Intertextuality, Interculturality and the process of Reading.

Communications of about 25 minutes will beeither in French or in English. An abstract is to be send before September 15th.
