The UOC is a completely virtual university which is leading several research projects related to the new technologies and different areas of knowledge (e-learning, e-crime, net-art, e-literature, etc.) "Hermeneia" is an international group consisting of eighteen researchers from Italy, France, England, Finland, United States and Spain. Detailed information about the research group can be found on our web page.

Hermeneia held its first internal research workshop last April entitled Electronic textualities : NewSettingsforLiterature
