International Courtly Literature Society British Branch Conference 2012

Call for Papers

The next meeting of the British Branch of the International Courtly Literature Society will be held at King’s College, Cambridge, from lunchtime on Tuesday the 17th April to lunchtime on Wednesday 18th April 2011. Accommodation will be available at King’s on the evening of the 17th and perhaps for the evening before if anyone will be arriving earlier.

 

We are soliciting proposals for 20-minute papers on any topic related to courtly literature and culture (understood in the broadest sense) in the European context.

 

Papers will be given by preference in English but may be given as well in French.

 

Proposals (title plus abstract) should be sent electronically by 22 February 2012 to:

If you do not have access to email, please mail a hard copy to Dr Burgwinkle at King’s College, Cambridge CB2 1ST, UK.

 

Official booking form will follow in March 2012. There will be three options for registering:

 

a) Lunch on the 17th April, one night’s lodging in en suite College room, conference dinner and drinks, coffee/tea/cakes between sessions-------£150

b) Lunch on the 17th April, conference dinner and drinks, coffee/tea/cakes-------£75

c) Attendance at sessions plus coffee/tea/cakes-------£15

 

Participants need to be members of ICLS British Branch (subscription rates: standard £20, overseas £24, unemployed, student, retired, £12).

A membership form will be sent to non-members on acceptance.
