The following call is for MLA 2002, December 27-30 in NYC.
"Toward a theory of the whole fragment" (Ann Lauterbach). On the fragment or short form (e.g. Anne Carson's short talks) in and as contemporary women's writing. Especially welcome are papers considering historical or theoretical notion of fragments/fragmentation.
