Assistant Professor of French

 

 

Job Description:

Saint Michael’s College, in the Burlington area of Vermont, is seeking to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor of French position starting fall 2012. We are looking for a generalist who is prepared to teach a variety of language, literature, and culture courses at all levels. The candidate’s primary field of specialization should be Francophone literature and culture (geographic area open).  The teaching load is 3/2-3/3, alternating years.

Requirements:

  • Native or near-native command of French
  • Must be committed to teaching excellence while maintaining an active program of scholarly research
  • Must be supportive of the mission of the College
