Assistant Professor of French,   20th- and 21st- Century Literature and Culture

 

We are seeking a specialist in 20th- and 21st-century French literature and culture with a secondary interest in a field such as visual culture, film and media studies, and/or global studies to start in Fall 2015.  The candidate should have strong research potential and demonstrated teaching effectiveness.  Ph.D. in hand by December 2014.

Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply.  Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. 

Native or near-native fluency in French is required; responsibilities include an ongoing program of research and commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
