«Existe-t-il des signes visuels?» Rivisitazione del Traité du signe visuel del Groupe m

In order to develop its great potential, visual communication needs tobe founded on the characteristics of the visual channel and on thetypologies of the visual signs (iconic and plastic), therefore, on aspeci!c semiotic and rhetoric distinct from the ones of the linguisticsign. Visual signs, in particular the noblest expressions like theartistic ones, reveal themselves more as aims rather than as means. They do not point away from themselves but to themselves: thisconnotation is founded on the autonomy of visual signs as regards thereported reality. The respective itineraries can emphasize thepossibilities and inherent to a visually constructed logic withnonverbal characteristics.

Descrivere il vino: analisi semantico-lessicale di una terminologia specialistica

Thispaper aims at analyzing the Italian terminology used to describe wineand its characteristics, in order to identify lexical variations andrecurring communicative strategies within specific textual genres ofthe wine sector. The research is based on a corpus of Italian writtentexts, which describe the analytical, organoleptic and sensorialcharacteristics of Italian wines (colour, smell, taste, tactilesensations). The corpus includes different text types, such aspromotional brochures, web pages, wine guides, specialized magazinesand regulations on wine production, offering a representative sample ofvarious kinds of communication. After drawing a conceptual map of thewine tasting terminology, and outlining the different contexts ofinteraction and correspondent communicative flows, the analysis hasfocused on the most relevant lexical, rhetorical and stylistic aspectsof the corpus.

"Syntaktische Wortfelder": von den "wesenhaften edeutungsbeziehungen" über die "Kollokationen" und "Selektionsbeschränkungen" bis zu den "lexikalischen Solidaritäten"

The possibilities for combining words with other words aretraditionally considered from a syntactic point of view. W. Porzig wasthe first linguist to draw attention, in 1934, to the fact thatsyntagmatic combinability has not only to do with grammaticalcharacteristics, but also with aspects of meaning. For the syntagmaticlexical relations he describes, W. Porzig introduces the term wesenha!eBedeutungsbeziehungen. The study of these syntagmatic a&nities wasneglected for a long period. Only in the 1950s and 1960s did theconcept reappear in various theoretical approaches and under differentnames. The present article illustrates, in detail, the fundamentaldistinctions that characterize syntagmatic lexical relations in thevarious approaches after W. Porzig's Wesenhafte Bedeutungsbeziehungenand points out that his ideas can still be considered very modern, however, from many points of view, not completely developed.

Individuelle Sprachlernberatung für DaF in Italien: Möglichkeiten und Grenzen

The paper originates from the author's experience as a languagelearning adviser for GFL at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore diMilano. Though underlining the adviser's possibility to facilitatestudents to develop learner autonomy, it identites aspects of advisingwhich are still problematic in Italy. The first part providesinformation on the development of the concept of learner autonomy andon research on language learning advising. In the second part, severalexamples of GFL-learners who came to see the adviser for varyingreasons requiring different types of assistance will be presented anddiscussed. Eventually, possibilities will be suggested to increase theeffectiveness of advising in the promotion of learner autonomy.

[La proposizione temporale complessa in italiano e in russo. Problemi dell'uso parlato]

Thepresent paper aims at defining the preferred usage in constructingsentences with subordinate clauses of time in Russian and Italian. Theresearch is based on about 400 examples from over seventy texts andtheir translations in both languages. The major difference between thelanguages lies in the grade of their explicitness, in the choice offormal means. The Italian text prefers hypotaxis with the sequence oftenses marking, with rather distinct characteristics of semanticrelations within its parts supported both lexically and grammaticallyby time conjunctions.
In the Russian text the basic information ismore often taken from the general context or lexical components of theproposition. The translation from Russian into Italian requiresconsecutive hierarchization of the statement: asyndetic propositionsare replaced by coordinate ones, whereas coordination is replaced byhypotaxis. The translation from Italian into Russian requires theinverse process.

Il prestito linguistico tra teoria e retorica: criteri metodologici ed effetti stilistici

Thiswork studies the rhetoric presence of linguistic loan in MargueriteYourcenar's literature. We try to understand how the encounter betweenlanguages affects on writing and stylistic peculiarities. From Ascolito Gusmani, and Deroy, Wind, Guilbert, Martinet, Coseriu and Weinreichthe loan receives an historiographical, sociolinguistic, structuralistapproach, and then an interest of its dynamic linguistics.Relationships between rhetoric and loan focus on linguistic andliterary creativity and rhetorical use of the loan in Yourcenar, analyzing loans and describing semantic peculiarities. This study showsthat the nomadic life of Yourcenar has influenced his writing, andloans express conscious stylistic choices.
