Special Collections Humanities Fellowship

The Yale University Library invites applications for its new post-doctoralspecial collections humanities fellowship program. The two-yearfellowship offers recent Ph.D. recipients (within 5 years of earning theirdegrees) an opportunity for in-depth research using the Library's specialand archival collections, as well as an opportunity for limitedundergraduate teaching responsibilities. Among the selection criteria isa preference for applicants who demonstrate an interest inmulti-disciplinary or multi-collection endeavors. Materials should be sent directly to Alice Prochaska, Yale UniversityLibrary, P.O. Box 208240, New Haven, CT 06520-8240. The fellowships offeran annual stipend of $44,300 and an annual travel/research allowance of$1,500. Applications must be received by May 30, 2003. Awards will beannounced on July 1, 2003. Successful applicants must be in residence nolater than September 2, 2003.
