Temporary Lecturer in Drama Studies

The School of Drama at Trinity College Dublin seeks a Lecturer in Drama Studies for nine months, commencing in October, 2001. The School offers a full range of academic degrees incorporating theatre, film, media and performance studies. Undergraduate degrees combine theatre practice with rigorous academic study. The School also offers an M.Phil. in Irish Theatre Studies and Film Studies, postgraduate research degrees and a unique professional actor training course run in collaboration with the Abbey Theatre.
The successful candidate should hold a degree (preferably a Ph.D.) in drama or a related discipline, have had some teaching experience and be able to teach across a range of subjects (theatre history, analysis, practice). Duties will include some administration and examination in the undergraduate programmes and may, if appropriate, include teaching at postgraduate level.
Appointment will be made within the salary range £22,000-£25,000 per annum, to accord with qualifications and experience.
