Revue Nexilis : Appel à contribution de doctorants spécialisés en études françaises du 19e siècle

Nexilis is an on-line journal of literary and cultural criticism for the 19thc Scholar in French literature, culture, art, comparative literature, and language pedagogy.
“Nexilis” means tied, weaved, intertwined in latin. The desire of this on-line review is to envision French cultural studies as a whole: art, literature, and culture, but also to create a “link” between 19thc French scholars. As the process of writing a thesis is a very lonely and isolating one, Nexilis is to serve not only as a a platform for Scholars to share their ongoing research with their colleagues, but also as a bridge between "dix-neuvièmistes".
Nexilis needs articles! The first issue will be dedicated to the topic of "ties, links, bonds" in the realm of art, literature (French and Comparative), and culture. The articles will deal with the "positive" ties, the ones that make you stronger, but also with the "negative" ties, the ones that keep you bound, emprisonned.
Nexilis welcomes creative submissions and proposals in French or in English. Please send an abstract of a maximum of 250 words, along with a cover letter indicating the title, the author's name, university affiliation, email address and telephone number to contact@revuenexilis.org no later than Monday, October 20th, 2008.
Authors will be notified by Monday, October 27, 2008 of their acceptance and articles will be due by Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Articles should follow the MLA style and should not exceed 10 to 15 pages.
