Assistant Professor: probationary (tenure-track) beginning 1 July 2001, subject to budgetary approval.

A Ph.D. in French is required, with a specialization in 18th, 19th or 20th century literature. The successful applicant will have native or near-native fluency in French and English, and some experience teaching French as a second language at the post-secondary level. Competency in Computer-Assisted Language Learning would also be an asset, as would the ability to teach Spanish or German. A strong commitment to and an appropriate record of scholarship and original research are required.

The successful applicant will teach undergraduate French language & literature courses at all levels from beginners to advanced.
