18th Century Literature

The Department of French at Dalhousie University invites applications for a sessional position (10 month limited term) at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor level in the area of 18th century French literature, effective August 1, 2007 to May 30, 2008.  Primary responsibilities will include teaching French language, literature and culture at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must have a PhD or PhD in hand with a specialization in 18th century French literature. Candidates should possess native or near-native fluency in French. Applications, which should include a complete curriculum vitae, a statement of research and teaching interests and philosophies, and three confidential letters of reference sent under separate cover to:

Acadian and French-Canadian Literature

The Department of French at Dalhousie University invites applications for a sessional position (2-year limited term), at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor level in the area of Acadian literature and French-Canadian literature (outside Québec), effective July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2009.  Primary responsibilities will include teaching French language, literature and culture at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must have a PhD or PhD in hand with a specialization in Acadian and/or French-Canadian literature. Candidates should possess native or near-native fluency in French. Applications, which should include a complete curriculum vitae, a statement of research and teaching interests and philosophies, and three confidential letters of reference sent under separate cover, should be sent in hard copy to:
