Lectureship in French at UCL

Applications are invited for a post in the Department of French at Lecturer A/Lecturer B level, tenable from 1 September 2009. Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent qualification and have native or near-native command of French. Applications are welcome from any area of French and Francophone Studies, but preference may be given to candidates whose research concentrates on periods preceding the twentieth century. The ability to contribute to interdisciplinary programmes in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities may constitute a further advantage, as may a track record of researching across national, cultural, chronological or generic boundaries. As well as contributing to the Department's research profile, the successful candidate will be expected to participate fully in the teaching and administration of the Department.

The appointment will be for Lecturer A UCL Grade 7 minimum start point 33 £32,458- £35,469, for Lecturer B Grade 8 £36,532 -£43,622 per annum (plus £2,781 London Allowance).
