Lecturer in French Studies

Full-time, continuing position in the School of Historical and European Studies, available from 1 July 2011.

An exciting new opportunity exists for a Lecturer in French Studies to contribute to the revival of the French Program. There has been significant growth in this program and La Trobe University would like to see this continue by expanding its offerings to include Honours and Postgraduate studies. You will be expected to initiate and develop new subjects in areas of expertise and contribute to the continuing design of the French teaching program. Evidence of a capacity to publish research and gain research grants is highly desirable.

While applications are welcome from all candidates meeting the selection criteria, preference may be given to those with expertise in one of the following areas: European and Mediterranean Studies; 20th century French history and culture; and/or, Francophone society and culture.

Remuneration: AUD $73,444 - $87,212, pro rata if part-time.
