Departmental Lecturer in Early Modern French

Grade 7: £29,249 - 35,938 with discretionary range to: £39,257 p.a.

The Faculty, in association with Brasenose College and St Edmund Hall, is seeking to appoint an individual from 1 October 2012 (or as soon as possible thereafter) to cover research and teaching needs in Early Modern French for a period of three years.

The postholder will give no fewer than 16 lectures or classes in each academic year; an average of eight tutorial hours per week of term; and engage in research activities. They will also be involved in supervision, examining, administrative and pastoral activities for the Faculty/College.

They should have a PhD/DPhil in French, submitted by the time they take up the post; a successful track record of teaching at undergraduate level; a strong research record; and fluency in French and English.
