Théâtre – Poste de professeur régulier
Université d’Ottawa – Le Département de théâtre de l’Université d’Ottawa invite les artistes et spécialistes en théâtre à poser leur candidature pour un poste de professeur adjoint menant à la permanence. Entrée en fonction : 1er juillet 2015.
Le Département de théâtre est situé au cœur de la capitale nationale et est entouré d’un riche éventail d’institutions culturelles. Au premier cycle, le Département offre un B.A. avec spécialisation approfondie en théâtre, un B.A. avec majeure dans l’un des cinq profils ainsi qu’un B.A. avec mineure en théâtre, en français comme en anglais. Au deuxième cycle, il offre un programme de conservatoire en mise en scène ainsi qu’une maîtrise ès arts en théorie et dramaturgie avec trois options de spécialisation : recherche avec thèse, recherche avec projet de création ou études médiévales et de la Renaissance.
Qualifications :
Ph.D. (ou l’équivalent), doublé d’une pratique artistique significative. Expérience dans l’enseignement du jeu, en français, au niveau universitaire ou collégial, ou dans un contexte de conservatoire. Une expérience additionnelle dans un domaine lié à la « recherche création » ou l’enseignement de la mise en scène sera considérée comme un atout.
Le candidat retenu :
1) Enseignera principalement en français ;
2) Donnera des séminaires et dirigera des étudiants dans nos programmes de maîtrise ;
3) Devra démontrer sa capacité à fonctionner dans un contexte universitaire
Au moment d’obtenir leur permanence, les professeurs doivent obligatoirement pouvoir fonctionner dans un milieu bilingue.
Le salaire sera établi en conformité avec les dispositions de la convention collective. La date limite du dépôt des candidatures est le 15 décembre 2014.

Theatre – Full-time tenure track appointment
The University of Ottawa’s Department of Theatre invites applications from theatre artists and specialists for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to commence July 1, 2015.
The University of Ottawa is located in the heart of the National Capital, home to a wealth of artistic institutions. At the undergraduate level, the Department offers the Honours Specialist BA in Theatre, the BA with Major in one of five profiles, and the BA with Minor in Theatre. Each of these programs is available in French and in English. At the graduate level, it offers an MFA program in Directing and an MA in Theatre Studies (Theory and Dramaturgy) with three specialization options: Research with Thesis, Research with Creative Project, and Medieval and Renaissance Studies.
Qualifications:
PhD (or equivalent), with a significant artistic practice; experience teaching acting in French at a university, college or conservatory. Additional experience teaching directing and/or an area related to research/creation would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will:
Teach primarily in French. Teach seminars and supervise students at the graduate level. Demonstrate the capacity to function in a university context.Bilingualism (English and French) is a requirement for tenure.
