In conjunction with this major exhibition a series of events has been planned:

Free lunch time talks (1.15 - 1.45) will be held in the Museum on the following dates:

Friday 4 May: The Third Man: the printmakers role in the Artists Book, Kip Gresham

Friday 4 May Exceptional Choiseul-Praslin Lectures: Deguy, Dupin, Noël, Peyré
Four major French poets, all of whom feature prominently in the exhibition, Michel Deguy, Jacques Dupin, Bernard Noël and Yves Peyré will read from their work (translations will be available).

Saturday 5 May Creating a Livre dartiste: the dialogue unfolds
A discussion between the poets Michel Deguy, Jacques Dupin, Bernard Noël, Yves Peyré and the artist, painter and printmaker, Bertrand Dorny, who have collaborated on several books included in the exhibition. Additional copies of these spectacular livres dartiste will be on display in the Wren Library.

A lecture, The Dialogue between Painting and Poetry, will be given by Jean Khalfa.

Word Sights

A day course based in the exhibition.
Led by writer Mike Gower and artist Amanda Leibus this full day of activity will give participants an unusual opportunity to explore, through their own work, the relationship between the written and the visual. This course is open to all; experienced writers and artists are welcome, as are those with more enthusiasm than practice.
Course fee: £15 (refreshments not included).
