Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Literature and Culture (Tufts University)

The Department of Romance Languages at Tufts University seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in French and Francophone Literature and Culture to begin July 1, 2016.  We seek a specialist whose areas of research cover immigration, ethnicity, and transnational culture in contemporary France.  The successful candidate will teach advanced language courses as well as courses in literature and culture, including the Beur/Maghreb experience. Expertise in Film Studies a plus.

Ph.D. in hand by September 1, 2016, and native/near-native command of French are required.  Previous college-level teaching experience preferred.  Send cover letter, CV, and a writing sample of no more than 30 pages to French and Francophone Literature and Culture Search via Interfolio, at https://apply.interfolio.com/31884; and arrange to have three confidential letters of recommendation submitted to the same site.  Review of applications will begin December 1, 2015, and continue until the position is filled.
