Emory University’s Department of French and Italian announces a faculty position for a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in French language instruction. 3/2 course load; Ph.D. in French (in hand) is required. Qualifications include a demonstrated ability to teach a full range of French language courses (desirable areas include phonetics, history of language and/or linguistics) at the college or university level and a proven capacity for substantive and innovative contribution to a language program. We are looking for candidates with experience in curriculum design, development of new instructional materials, supervision of multi-section courses especially at the 200 level, advising responsibilities, and language pedagogy.
