Life/Writing 2001

A quick reminder that the next Life/Writing session is to be held on Friday 19 January (at 4pm, 11 Bedford Square W1), on the theme of 'Self and Place', with Edward Hughes speaking on Mohammed Dib's La Nuit Sauvage and Tonya Blowers on settler identity in women's autobiography.

I am also pleased to announce a February session on Utopias with Patrick French on Utopian lives, and Ingrid Wassenaar on Reality TV (16/02/01), and a special session in March with Jacques Roubaud speaking on his own autobiographical practice (Le Grand Incendie de Londres, Le Boucle, Mathématique:, Poésie:), and Agnès Disson on new poets influenced by Roubaud's work (Alfieri...) This session will be held in conjunction with the Poetry Unlimited seminar. Publicity posters will follow in due course.

All staff and postgraduates are welcome. Please pass this e-mail on to anyone you feel may be interested.

With best wishes for the New Year.

Susan
