The Department of French, National University of Ireland, Maynooth is seeking a well-qualified academic to replace a colleague on eight months sabbatical leave. The successful candidate will have completed her/his doctorate and have near native fluency in French. As the person appointed will be teaching courses on the 20th-century short story in French, 17th-and 18th-century French theatre, French language and translation at all levels, preference will be given to a candidate with expertise in two or more of these areas. Previous teaching experience at third level is desirable. The person appointed will also engage in the supervision of undergraduate theses for the B.A., and undertake such administrative duties as are assigned by the Head of Department. The salary is 35.000 EURO per annum (pro rata).
