

French Position, Fall 2000
French, Assistant professor, tenure track, beginning Fall 2000. Should
have at time of appointment a Ph. D. in French with native or near-
native fluency in French and English. Specialization: open, early 20th-
Century French literature or cultural studies preferred, with secondary
field in Francophone Studies desirable. Candidate must be committed to
excellent teaching at all levels, and should have had prior experience
in communicative teaching methodologies. Must be prepared to coordinate
language levels. Candidate must show scholarly promise, as teaching
assignments will also include teaching at the Graduate level. Academic
advising and departmental assignments are required of all full-time
faculty. Involvement in French cultural presence on campus, such as the
French House, is expected. Review of dossiers will begin immediately.
