Duties and responsibilities:

· Teaching of French language and literature as well as translation (French, Afrikaans and English) on under-and post-graduate level.

· Teaching of methodology of French for B. Ed students.

· Active participation in research.

· Administration and organisational duties.

· Creating new course material.

Inherent requirements:

· Masters degree in French or related field.

· Experience in teaching French in the context of a foreign language.

· Proven interest in research in the field of French language and/or literature.

· Proven skills in planning, administration and organisation.

· Computer skills.

Assumption of duties: 1 February 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
