Journée d'étude organisée par le séminaire FAAAM du centre de recherches en études anglophones Université Pairs Ouest Nanterre. Bâtiment V,

Présentation du projet 

La journée d'étude est organisée dans le cadre du séminaire FAAAM (femmes auteurs américaines et anglaises) du CREA de Paris Ouest. Elle va rassembler les universitaires français spécialistes de littérature canadienne. Le dernier colloque français consacré à Alice Munro a eu lieu en 2002, il semblait donc pertinent, à la suite de l'annonce du Prix Nobel de littérature de consacrer au moins une journée d'étude à la nouvelliste canadienne. La journée d'étude  accueillera des communications en anglais  sur des oeuvres publiées aussi bien en 1968 qu'en 2012. Elle examinera l'oeuvre d'Alice Munro en s'intéressant aux thématique suivantes : le corps féminin, l'amour, le désir, la poétique du paysage, la poétique des objets délaissés, l'indicible, la trace de l'écrivaine.  Neuf participants spécialistes de littérature canadienne, sept universitaires françaises et deux universitaires étrangères (Italie et Pologne)
