Nous sollicitons des propositions de communication originales et non publiées, ainsi que des panels ou sessions spéciales de trois ou quatre participants. Les approches comparatives et interdisciplinaires sont particulièrement bienvenues. Professeurs, chercheurs, chargés de cours et doctorants dont le champ d’études est Zola et/ou le
naturalisme (littérature, cinéma, arts visuels, histoire, sociologie, études des femmes, etc.) sont invités à soumettre un résumé pour une intervention ne dépassant pas vingt minutes. Les salles où se dérouleront les séances sont pourvues d’équipement audiovisuel.

*Naturalismes français et américains—Urbanité et ruralité
*Romancières naturalistes aux États-Unis—Nord et Sud (Willa Cather, Edith Wharton, Kate Chopin, etc.)

*J’accuse en Amérique: Contexte et réponse
*Le naturalisme en Afrique et aux Caraïbes
*Naturalisme dans la littérature créole américaine du XIXème siècle (Alfred Mercier, Sidonie de la Houssaye,
Georges Dessommes, George Washington Cable, etc.)
*Aspects naturalistes du cinéma américain contemporain
*Zola et l’Ashcan School de peinture (John Sloan, Robert Henri, William Glackens, George Luks, etc.)
*Naturalisme et néo-naturalisme en Autriche

We invite proposals for original papers, panels of three or four, and special sessions. Comparative and interdisciplinary approaches are welcome. Professors, scholars, instructors, and doctoral candidates from the disciplines of literature, film, visual arts, history, sociology and women’s studies are encouraged to submit proposals for twenty-minute presentations. Audiovisual equipment will be available in the conference rooms.
