Tenure-track position beginning Fall 2015, University of Maine, Farmington.

Teaching load 3/3. Primary teaching responsibilities in French and in International and Global Studies, with some participation in General Education. The ideal candidate is a generalist in Francophone studies. Interest in Francophone Africa and/or contemporary postcolonial issues a plus. Position includes the opportunity to develop new study abroad programs, and UMF encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration and teaching. Strong commitment to and enthusiasm for undergraduate language teaching required, along with demonstrated promise of scholarly excellence and native or near-native fluency in French and in English. PhD required for tenure, along with an active research agenda.
