Narratologia: une nouvelle collection en narratologie

La collection « Narratologia. Contributions to Narrative Theory / Beiträge zur Erzähltheorie » paraît chez Walter de Gruyter depuis la fin de 2003. Dirigée par Fotis Jannidis (Darmstadt), John Pier (Tours et Paris) et Wolf Schmid (Hambourg), elle est une émanation non-officielle du Groupe de Recherche en Narratologie de l'Université de Hambourg (www.narrport.uni-hamburg.de).

La vocation de la collection, une des rares du genre en Europe, est la publication de recherches narratologiques, domaine qui a connu un renouveau dynamique à l'échelle internationale ces dernières années grâce tant à la prise de conscience de l'ampleur du phénomène narratif dans la vie culturelle (dans la conversation quotidienne, les arts visuels, la musique, les jeux vidéos,...) qu'à l'introduction de modèles épistémologiques nouveaux (sciences cognitives, logique des mondes possibles, intelligence artificielle, sémiotiques non-structuralistes,...). En effet, les monographies tout comme les ouvrages collectifs représentent un foyer de recherches aussi transculturelles que transdisciplinaires, et ils cherchent à intégrer les acquis et la rigueur de la narratologie dite « classique » tout en explorant les chemins d'innovation actuels en théorie narrative.
